Mother’s Day is one of those special occasions, and who better to spoil and celebrate than the incredible, selfless, strong, loving woman who gave you (or your kids) life?! To help us celebrate this Mother’s Day, we asked one of our customers if we could show off her gorgeous custom family ring and share a snapshot of what being a mom means to her.
Meet the Albrechts
A couple of years ago, Jace came in and worked with John, our Master Goldsmith, to create this gorgeous one-of-a-kind family ring.
The center diamond is the original diamond from Kala’s engagement ring, which they have since replaced with a stunning Forevermark diamond. The original diamond sits at the center of this design to symbolize where the couple began, and the surrounding birthstones of sapphire, aquamarine, amethyst and diamond represent each family member and show how their family has grown.
Here are some beautiful thoughts from Kala on what it means to be a mom:
“Day to day, being a mom means being tired all the time, feeling rushed to get anywhere, being unsure if I am parenting correctly, and wondering what the mystery stain on my shirt is. Being a mom is the hardest job in the world because being a mom means to be love.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always preserves. Love never fails.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
"Even though this is the toughest job description anyone can possibly ask of a person, being a mom is also a true blessing. Love filled my heart when we found out we were expecting. We now have two amazing children that I get to watch learn and grow. I get to comfort them when they are hurt or sad and I get to celebrate their achievements. I am filled with pride as I watch them grow in confidence and love. My kids have made me a better person by testing and growing my love. All in all, what it means to be a mom is to have an unconditional love that just keeps growing and growing. Even though mom life is chaotic, loud and hard, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.“
